Great news from Galway this morning. Pressure from concerned locals has seen both The Clayton Hotel and The Connacht Hotel cancel events featuring Brian Clement.
Brian Clement is a seller of snake oil and lies masquerading as a practitioner of alternative medicine.
He is the subject of an action by the State of Florida for practicing unlicensed medicine and his particular brand of lies has caused untold suffering to many.

Due in no small part to the efforts of Gina from https://justginatalks.wordpress.com and others, Clement's efforts to prey on the vulnerable in Galway have been set back.
I made a difference today, albeit a small one but it felt good, really good.
I was part of a small group of people who worked towards convincing the Clayton hotel to reconsider their booking with Brian Clement. The Clayton informed us today that this event would not be going ahead at their hotel.
Brian Clement is a snake oil salesman who preys on the sick when they're beyond hope. He profits from the hopelessness of stage 4 cancer.
Within hours another booking was made in the Connacht hotel so I called in to speak to them. As a concerned local, I asked that they reconsider their decision to host this event. They've also had a considerable tirade of online requests this afternoon.
They are currently considering this.
No doubt if the Connacht hotel do the right thing and decide not to host this man, he will move to the next available venue. It's an unfinished battle but I'll go on, I do not want this charlatan profiting from the vulnerable in my city. I do not want him profiting from the vulnerable in any city, but I'm starting at home.
It's just one step in the long struggle to ensure that only those qualified, based on solid research, may treat ailments of any sort here.
Inform yourself about this man. Inform your friends and should you know anyone who was planning to attend the event, inform them too.
Charlatans like this man prey on ignorance and can be defeated by knowledge.
Anam Cara Galway, an organisation that supports bereaved parents, will hold its next monthly Parent Evening on Wednesday 2nd of May from 19:30 to 21:00 in the Clayton Hotel, Old Monivea Road, Ballybrit, Galway.
Finally, we are back up and running almost as normal.
We have no heating and no carpets but phones are back.
We do have a bit of a backlog of appointments to get through but we're getting there.
