The Irish Medical Organisation have launched a national campaign calling on the Government to resource General Practice properly to allow us to care for you and your family safely.
GPs have a significant role to play in tackling the problems in our health services and are key to any health reform such as the 'free GP care for under 6's' announced by Minister Reilly in the 2014 budget. This initiative was not negotiated with GPs and we have no idea how, when or indeed IF it will be introduced making planning for this provision of care impossible.

We are calling for an increase in the budget spent on General Practice with a corresponding plan for increased patient services.
Please play your part in ensuring that patients can continue to access a full range of services through their local GP by supporting our campaign.
Thank you for your support.
Anam Cara Galway, an organisation that supports bereaved parents, will hold its next monthly Parent Evening on Wednesday 2nd of May from 19:30 to 21:00 in the Clayton Hotel, Old Monivea Road, Ballybrit, Galway.
Finally, we are back up and running almost as normal.
We have no heating and no carpets but phones are back.
We do have a bit of a backlog of appointments to get through but we're getting there.
